Safeguarding

Turnberry Golf Club is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable golfing experience for all of its junior members. As part of that commitment, we are following the guidance of Scottish Golf by adopting (and adapting) its Safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure we comply with recognised good practice. The club now intends to achieve “SafeGolf” accreditation for Turnberry.

Our Gents and Ladies Committees have endorsed the policies and procedures drafted by our Junior Committee and they will be accessible here on the Golf Club website.

The club has appointed Colin McKellar, Assistant Director of Golf, as Turnberry’s Safeguarding Officer. He is the “go to” person should any issue of child protection arise.

It is important to understand that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that we have a collective “Duty of Care” to the juniors who participate in club activities. With that in mind, we encourage members to review Turnberry Golf Club’s Safeguarding policy and procedures. Please click on the link below to review.
